Bowling is not only one of the most popular games, it is also one of the oldest. Scientists suppose that it existed already in the 6th millennium B.C. The prototypes of modern ball and skittles were found by archeologists in pharaohs' tombs of Ancient Egypt. During the long history the game has changed greatly. In the 20th century, the equipment of the game was improved: now bowling balls are made of modern materials, not from wood as it used to be, pins boys have been substituted by pinspotter machines.
